Move over love. Raul Gonzales steals the limelight.

I admit and it’s quite obvious that my favorite blog topics are matters of the heart. Cheesy, mushy, corny matters of the heart. But just last night, Raul Gonzales temporarily made heartaches go away with his comments on UP.

UP breeds stabilizers, naked runners.

At first it made me laugh. Ignorance and stupidity make good jokes. Conclusions like that about UP can only come from the uninformed. And if they are informed, they didn’t understand. Either they are ignorant or they are plain stupid.

Gonzales can be both and it’s still an understatement.

But the more I read the article, I realized that the biggest joke wasn’t Gonzales or UP but the Philippine government and the people. Imagine a Justice Secretary making idiotic comments like that. It is such a big insult to the 80M Filipinos that among the 79,999,999 Pinoys, we go by a Justice Secretary as stupid as Gonzales.

That is plain injustice. 

Gonzales claimed that he is well-behaved because he is from UST. I assume by now, UST is hiding in shame for producing you. They should have just produced "destabilizers and naked runners."

To Gonzales, let’s all raise our middle fingers and say cheers! At least UP doesn’t produce idiots like you.

You hate me like I killed your mother. You look at me with that uncaring glance, sometimes blank stare as if you’re looking at thin air. You don’t want to hear my voice, see my face, feel my presence. Sometimes, you treat me the harshest way you can, calling me names I never heard you call anybody before.

You try to hurt me the best way you can. And you have always succeeded.

Because I have hurt you just the same. The kind of pain that according to you, I and all the others will never be able to fathom.

I was sorry, still am, always will be.

I am sorry for you, but most of all for myself.

I am sorry because my heart had its moments of doubts.

I am sorry because letting you go was the stupidest idea I had ever entertained.

I am sorry because I lost that thing I have long been searching for. I never realized I had found it until I lost it.

I am sorry for every tear you cried, for every pain, for every bad day, for every bitter memory.

I am sorry for the way it all turned out to be.

Trust me, you’ve already had your revenge.
